ERIN ANDERSON is a writer, audio producer, and educator based in Pittsburgh. She is co-creator and producer of the award-winning documentary podcast series CEMENT CITY (Audacy, 2024), named one of The New York Times’ top ten “Best Podcasts of 2024” and a 2025 National Magazine Award Finalist for podcasting. The series recently appeared on the Essential Listening Poll “100 Greatest Podcasts of All Time.”
Erin’s radio and podcast work has received international recognition from the Ambies, the Signal Awards, and the New York Festivals Radio Awards and been featured by The New York Times, the Third Coast International Audio Festival, and the European Broadcast Union. Her debut audio drama, Our Time Is Up, received a Sarah Lawrence College International Audio Fiction Award in 2016. She has published essays in scholarly journals of writing, performance, and digital culture, and produced multimedia installations and public art works for venues ranging from the Pittsburgh International Airport to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
She is currently an Associate Professor in the Writing Program and the Film and Media Studies Program at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned her Ph.D. in Critical and Cultural Studies.
