ERIN ANDERSON is a writer, audio producer, and documentary artist based in Pittsburgh. She is co-creator and producer of the Audacy Original Podcast series CEMENT CITY, named one of The New York Times top ten “Best Podcasts of 2024” and a 2025 National Magazine Award Finalist for podcasting. The series recently appeared on the Essential Listening Poll “100 Greatest Podcasts of All Time.”

Erin’s independent radio and podcast work has received international recognition from the Ambies, the Signal Awards, and the New York Festivals Radio Awards and been featured by The New York Times, the Third Coast International Audio Festival, and the EBU Audio Storytelling Festival. Her debut audio drama, Our Time Is Up, received a Sarah Lawrence College International Audio Fiction Award in 2016. She has published essays in scholarly journals of writing, performance, and digital culture and produced multimedia installations and public art works for venues ranging from the Pittsburgh International Airport to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

She holds a PhD in Critical and Cultural Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, where she is an Associate Professor in the graduate Writing Program and the Film and Media Studies program.
